Did you know that Dantzel Nelson, wife of Elder Russell M. Nelson passed away last month? I only found out now.
It’s amazing the difference in media coverage between the wife of the prophet dying and the wife of an apostle dying. When Sister Hinckley died, I knew about it within hours of it happening because it was all over the Internet. I cannot say this was the case when Sister Nelson passed away.
Interesting.
I thought Times and Seasons had an announcment, but I could be wrong. Seeing that she was not as well known as Sister Hinckley, I am not surprised by the lack of coverage.
On a periodic basis, I try to read the news on lds.org, just so I know what is happening with the Church as it relates to newsworthy events.
I suppose as an LDS blogging community (a.k.a- The Bloggernacle), we need to do a better job of relaying important and newsworthy information.
