The River Turner

They lift the eagle through the air
They gave the bees their drone
They guide the dolphin through the sea
They built the lion’s throne

They painted monarchs black and gold
They quench the rose’s thirst
They lit the sun and kindled stars
They make the geysers squirt

They stir the colours of the sky
When dawn and dusk emerge
They blanket Earth with snowy white
When fall and spring converge

They pause for faith, they guide for fear
They juggle joy and pain
They strike for wrong, they lift for right
They hid when he was slain
