So, this guy claims he was asleep when he had sex with the woman who accused him of raping her.

The woman had fallen asleep on a couch. She woke up to find him having sex with her. She pushed him off, then contacted the police.

Luedecke said he fell asleep on the same couch and woke up when he was thrown to the floor.

The story is weird, but I noticed something I wanted to post on.

When the man’s side of the story is stated, the article states, “Luedecke said”. When the woman’s view is presented, however, there is no indication that it is her point of view, rather it seems to be presented as fact.

  1. Hmmmm… I actually can see a bit of room for doubt here, based on the number of times my husband and I have both woken up right in the middle of um… something – neither of us with any memory of who started it, just gradually waking up. Doesn’t that happen to other people?

  2. Maybe he just wears a condom at all times. Or two–then when he takes one off he feels like a wild man.

  3. (I guess I should offer full disclosure and tell you I didn’t make up the two-condom quip. I heard it about 16 years ago from a guy who had heard it from a comedian.)
