Primary vs Missionary

Before my mission, I was called to teach the CTR B (now CTR 8 ) primary class. It was a great experience. I was able to reaffirm basic gospel principles, learn valuable stories to share in my mission, and observe how baptisms are performed.

In many of the areas where I served o my mission, pre-mission?¢‚Ǩ‚Äúaged youth were called as stake missionaries. They went on splits with us regularly, learned the discussions and were able to see people become converted.

Which calling do you think would be more beneficial to a prospective missionary in helping him/her prepare for a mission?

  1. Seems like something that should be decided on a case-by-case basis. There’s no blanket answer.

  2. if the person leaving to go on a mission is a new convert then going on splits I think would be better.. if they are a long term member since birth then Primary.. but then what do I know :) I am biased with Primary anyway hehehehe
