I have to confess, when I read the headline for this, I thought, “That’s crazy! Canada has to have won many gold medals before! They’ve been competing in Olympic games for ages, and they’re a powerhouse in winter sports!” I had to read the article to figure out that it means, first gold medal OF THE 2006 TURIN GAMES.
