Sacrificing for others’ lives

Ever since hearing of Liviu Librescu‘s heroic act this week, I have been thinking about my own selflessness. would I give no thought to my own life in order for a room full of others may live? Would I be in a position ?¢‚Ǩ‚Äù confident as I am in the afterlife ?¢‚Ǩ‚Äù to lay down my life prepared to meet God?

Lastly, would my sacrifice be worth it for my children to grow up without a father?

  1. I don’t think it would matter what you thought of prior to something happening and if it would be worth it to sacrifice your life as your adrenaline gets caught up in the moment and you respond without question. At least I would think that is what would happen. If a person had to sit there and do a pros and cons list before deciding to do something then the moment would have been lost.
