I came across this quote today.

I was wondering what everyone’s thoughts are on this.

While I am no expert on Brigham or what he was trying to convey I will take a shot.
There is of course a concept of women having a share of the Priesthood through the sealing powers. I think the early saints generally felt that Mother’s prayers over the sick were like a priesthood blessing.
Yet my feeling is this may have more to do with the temple endownment. But to be honest, as I said that is about as far as I could speculate.
I think the best way to know what Brigham Young was saying is to find other talks he gave on this subject.
