More important of course is that we have a temple as well as Edmonton. It was so embarrassing to have most of the money in the Province but still no House of the Lord.
Elder Caussé was serving as an area authority seventy when called to the first quorum of the seventy in April. He had served as stake president in Paris until 2007, and is the first general authority from France.
Elder Corbridge speaking on the standard of God. He was called to the first quorum of the seventy in April, like Caussé and Aidukaitis, who spoke earlier today.
Kim I was referring primarily to the inter-city rivalry, rather than tithing. In any event my ancestors who settled Cardston would be astounded to have 3 temples in the province.
My ex stake President now Seventy showed the Rocky Ridge site to Pres. Faust several years ago who said that a Temple would fit nicely right there.
Elder Christofferson talking about about charity. I liked the story of a ward member cutting his table in half so another family could have a table. Not sure if I’d ever do something like that.
MTC Choir performed “I Would Follow Thee” after the prayer. Their rendition prompted me to realize I need to do a better job at loving others, particularly my quorum members.

I’ve occasionally noticed before that addresses in General Conference seem to link together in important ways, even though the speakers are usually not given topical assignments. I’ve never noticed it quite so strongly, though, as in this conference. Some of the talks seemed to segue seamlessly into the next.

I have a feeling the chose Calgary because it has six stakes. I don’t think it had anything to do with municipal wealth.
