Musical Legends

This is just a fun post.. nothing serious about it.. well you can make it serious if you start arguing :) I was discussing this.. ok fine I was arguing about this last night with my husband of who was the better musical legend and thought it might be interesting to see what everyone else here thought… so post who you think is the best and please give your reasons why.

  1. I enjoy them all, but I find the Beatles’ music to be more varied and smarter. True, they did have inane hits like “She Loves You” but they also had thinking man’s hits like “Eleanor Rigby.” For the most part I think their tunes and their lyrics are intellectually and artistically richer.

  2. Oh they are all legends but I am still a U2 fan always and forever. But to choose between those…I would say Elvis probably. And not because I think he was better, but because I think he was more of a real legend in the eyes of so many. But the Beatles come very close.

  3. The Beatles hands down.

    Helps that they had four distinct personalities contributing to the creative process.

    Elvis didn’t write his own songs and The Beach Boys only had Brian Wilson creating until the pressure got too much.
