Global church

In the October 2002 general conference, Elder Uchtdorf said the following:

What a joy and privilege it is to be part of this worldwide Church and be taught and uplifted by prophets, seers, and revelators! This conference is being broadcast to 68 countries and translated into 55 languages. This is truly a global Church, with members spread across the nations of the earth.

Just last year, President Monson referred to us a global church in the October conference.

So what is a global church with very strong roots in the United States supposed to do with its Mormon Messages video stream for the Independence Day celebrations this year?

A generic message of freedom.
