While reading my scriptures tonight, I came across Alma 1:26
And when the priests left their labor to impart the word of God unto the people, the people also left their labors to hear the word of God.
This scripture is quite significant to me at this time. As I have posted before, my current job requires me to work Saturdays and Sunday. This means that as long as everything continues as they have been, I will miss out on General Conference this year.
Sure I can still watch the videos online later, but there is something about sitting with my family in our living room. There is something about participating in conference virtually with the rest of the Bloggernacle. These are all things that have played a big part in my life for years, and I will miss out on them.
maybe we should pray God give you the day off
Oh, hey, I never thought of that!
It says it in the scripture take time to hear the word of God. You need to ask for that one day off.
It’s two days, and I am not eligible for days off until I have been working there a year.
