Tiff between the priesthood and Relief Society

I was reading through the minutes of the organization of the Relief Society, and I had no idea that Emma Smith got into an argument with Apostle John Taylor and her husband, the Prophet, on whether the new organization should be the Benevolent Society or the Relief Society.

Gripping stuff.

  1. I love that. Good thing Emma argued about that. Imagine the logo?? BS in big letters in cross stitch adorning the room. It would be known as the BS room, and then there are the BS meetings.
