As explained last week, ancient “historians” often understood things differently than we do today. It was pointed out, for example, that the “earth” was not understood in the same way 20th-century people understand the term “earth.”

  1. Definitely limited in scope — and most likely in the Tehuantepec area.

  2. I’d have to say that the Pearl of Great Price “and every land was an earth” makes it pretty clear. Especially since it is so close to “and the history of this earth only” … always made me think it was about a very small area.
